Ishita Sethi, Barrister, Sydney, Australia

Ms. Sethi was born in Delhi, India and migrated to Australia in the 80s. She grew up with a fond appreciation of her Indian heritage and her Australian home. She was awarded a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales, Australia. After working in private legal practice for a number of years, she pursued and obtained a Master of Taxation (MTax) from the University of Sydney, Australia and holds the designation of Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) with The Tax Institute of Australia.   Ms Sethi was called to the Bar of New South Wales, Australia as a barrister and has since established her own successful private advocacy practice which she operates from her Chambers in Sydney, Australia. Ms Sethi is passionate about access to justice, the rule of law and advancement through education. To that end, Ms Sethi is a keen and regular contributor to advancement of legal education amongst the legal profession and the general community, presenting over the years at various forums on a diverse range of topics. Ms Sethi is highly experienced in the areas of commercial, taxation and administrative law advice and litigation. She is widely respected for her integrity, legal acumen and advocacy. Ms Sethi represents individuals, high wealth private groups, small to medium enterprises, large corporates, trustees, accountants and solicitors, international NFP organizations and Government. She appears in all State and Federal jurisdictions in Australia including the Supreme Court and High Court of Australia and has advised on a number of international law matters.
