Mrs. Asha Tapase is presently serving the All India Panchayat Parishad, a Govt. Of India recognized autonomous apex Federation of Panchayati Raj Institutions as its General Secretary.
At the young age of 18 years, she was groomed by father-in-law. She turned up and became a politician to become a passionate social activist and champion of women’s empowerment. For her, her father-in-law was her model who guided her into social activities. She has been a member of several delegations such as the 5th GOIPO in South Africa, People to People Peace Convention at Lahore & Karachi and World Federalist Movement at Nepal, represented India at UN in various events. Her contributions in the empowering women and others have an endless list.
