Joined legal service in the Ministry of Law and Justice in the year 1979 and thus have experience of over 30 years of working on different posts.
In the capacity of Union Law Secretary, have been monitoring the functioning of the Department of Legal Affairs which is responsible for tendering legal advice/opinion to various Departments/Ministries of the Government of India on legal and constitutional matters, handling litigation’s for and on behalf of Union of India before the Supreme Court, High Courts, subordinate courts and various Tribunals, etc; responsible for finalising various Treaties, Agreements, Conventions, etc. with foreign countries; etc.
