Mr. Badrinath Durvasula, Chair, INBA, Infrastructure Law Section

Mr. Badrinath Durvasula is a Vice President & Head Legal for Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), Mumbai. L&T is India’s most respected business conglomerates with a turnover of around US$ 15 billion in the Infrastructure space, Oil & Gas Projects, Defense Production, Power, Mining, Electrical Equipment business, present in all geographies of the world. L&T is currentlyengaged with most of the infra projects in India and G.C.C. in particular in which he is deeply involved.

Prior to L&T, he worked with Reliance Industries Limited, Asian Paints Limited and General Insurance Corporation of India and carries with him over 28 years of rich experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, International Contracting, Strategy, Compliance, Arbitration and Litigation.

He travelled widely due to the M&A activity he is involved in all over the world on Legal & Financial due diligence, firming up transaction documents, long term supply agreements and ancillary agreements.

Academically, he is a Masters in Nuclear Physics, Masters in Law from the University of Mumbai and a qualified MBA with specialization in marketing of services. He is pursuing his doctorate with a business school of repute on the theme of value proposition in M&A domain.

Mr. Bill Carr, Executive Committee Member, INBA, Infrastructure Law Section

Bill is a partner of Corporate team at CMS Cameron McKenna LLP. His main focus is on infrastructure, projects and corporate real estate transactions. Bill is an active member of the CMS Corporate group and regularly advises on cross border transactions with colleagues throughout CMS and elsewhere. He also leads the CMS India Desk in London.

Bill advises both private and public sector organisations on a range of corporate work, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, joint ventures and shareholder agreements, corporate governance and restructurings. He is particularly active in the primary and secondary markets for projects and PFI/PF2 transactions. He regularly advises on structuring investments in projects, and acquisitions/disposals of interests in projects.

Bill also advises clients on commercial transactions in the rail sector, with a particular focus on rolling stock related transactions. He is recommended as a leading rail lawyer in Chambers UK and Legal Experts.

Bill leads the firm’s CSR activities with CREATE London and Pride in London, and is a non-executive director of London Works.
