Call for papers 2017 (Privacy & Data Protection Law)

The Indian National Bar Association (INBA) has been in the quest to create an impact in every sphere of the legal fraternity since the year 2014. Amongst several other organizations in the country, we pride ourselves for creating a platform for the legal practitioners of law to interact with the luminaries and experts of the industry.

In order to provide a platform to facilitate discussions and sharing of ideas regarding the core issues of privacy, the INBA, conceived the idea of the “Annual India Privacy Summit” and has successfully concluded 2 such events.  The 3rd Annual India Privacy Summit is being organised on September 21, 2017  (8:00 AM –  6:00 PM) at Taj West End, Bangalore.

We live in a virtual era and it is more pertinent than ever to ensure protection of privacy through legal systems and awareness. Keeping in mind, the dynamic scheme of the legal sector, we trust that it is the responsibility of professionals, scholars and students to engage in regular discourse and innovation process to further evolve our legal systems.

Therefore we invite  lawyers, corporate counsels, industry experts & students to submit whitepaper. The most relevant submissions shall be given an opportunity to be presented at the Summit. We intend to present the recommendations from these submissions to the Government of India as we together, debate the ways in which privacy and data protection can be strengthened.

Rules for Submission –

  • The word limit for the paper is minimum 1000 and maximum 5000 words.
  • It shall be required from each person to submit only soft copy via email to archana_aggarwal@indianbarassociation.org.
  • The email subject is – “Paper Submission: Privacy & Data Protection Law”.
  • Each submission email should contain the paper as well as scanned copy of ID card as issued by the institution.
  • The cover page of the paper should contain the following details only: Name of Participant | Contact Number | Email ID | Institution | Permanent Address | Title of the Paper.
  • The main body of the paper should not carry any mention of the name, contact details, or the name of the institution. In any other case, its haled to immediate disqualification.
  • Co authorship is not permitted.
  • Format of paper should be as per the rules of the conference.
  • The soft copy of the paper should be submitted in MS Word file (doc / docx).
  • Multiple entries by an individual shall not be permitted, and shall lead to disqualification.
  • Last date of Submission shall be 15 July, 2017.
  • The result for the submission shall be declared 15 August, 2017.
