Section for Law Students, INBA works as a voice of law students and organizes various activities which further professional opportunities among law students. It offers students a distinctive membership experience which bridges the gap between disparate legal jurisdictions.

Section for Law Students is governed by an Executive Committee, which comprises of a team of dedicated law students, whose unflagging efforts in organizing projects enriches the career of law students in India.

Objectives

  1. To promote the public good in relation to legal matters viewed in the broadest context.
  2. To maintain standards of professional conduct and participate in the discipline of members when required.
  3. To arrange and promote continuing legal education.
  4. To promote, conduct & cooperate in the promotion or conduct of activities of a professional, educational, cultural, and social nature amongst the law students.
  5. To increase the interactive prospects of its members with the pioneers of the legal field and practice.

Introduction:

 NUKKAD NATAKS” have been an integral part of Indian tradition to spread the social or political messages. So here Indian National Bar Association proudly announces its 1st National Street Play Competition – Iltija 2017.

The theme of the street play is based on the contemporary issues in the context of ‘Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women. The event is proposed with the objectives to promote the prevention of sexual harassment campaign pioneered by INBA to fight against the sexual harassment that is still persisting in our society even after the existence of stringent laws.

PROCEDURE

Every college has to organize and send a Video Link (Uploaded on Youtube) of a Nukkad Natak performed on the theme (SEXUAL HARASSMENT) and short article on same theme on which your team will be performing the play. The word limit of the article should be 1000-1500 words.

Respective students, colleges, Legal aid society of law colleges, NGOs and street play societies can send their applications at nishachauhan2901@gmail.com; jayantbhardwaj10@gmail.com  and cc archana_aggarwal@indianbarassociation.org.

 After screening, 5 teams will be selected that will perform finally at DLF Mall, Vasant Kunj, on 15th October for the final round.

The WINNER TEAM will be awarded with prizes worth rupees 10,000 & certificates by the distinguished dignitaries on INBA’s 6th Annual International Conference “68th Constitution Day” which will be held on 25th November, 2017 at Shangri-La’s Eros hotel, New Delhi.

  • Target Participants: (Minimum 5 participants in the team and only one team can apply from each institution.)

  • Street Play Societies of Colleges (Participants can also apply from non law colleges)

Payment Details:

For completing the registration procedure, all the participating teams are required to submit their registration form along with the payment of rupees 1500/-.

  • Last Date to Submit the Video is 04 September 2017.
  • Results will be out on 07 September, 2017.
  • Last Date of Registration is 09 September, 2017. .

GUIDELINES

  • The voice quality of the video should be up to the mark.
  • Dialogues should be audible and picture should be clear.
  • INBA logo will be mentioned on the banner under which program is going to be performed in your institution. (Logo can be download from INBA’s website)
  • INBA logo should be conspicuous in the video.
  • All the participants of the team will be introduce them self in the video clip.
  • Teams should stick to the theme, that is, Prevention of Sexual Harassment.
  • The video should be of maximum one hour.
